White Zombie (1932) WhiteZombie

Ahh the classics they never get old, this time around we have the always excellent Bela Lugosi playing "Murder" Legendre who is a local Voodoo master who is hired to turn a girl into a zombie. The script is well written and the whole film from start to finish is wonderful. Supported by an amazing cast of characters including

Madge Bellamy
Joseph Cawthorn
Robert Frazer
John Harron

All support Lugosi perfectly. Director Victor Halperin in my eyes made a flawless picture

Ha great minds think alike, I was going to do this earlier and forgot, well done. It is funny because so many people I know think the old B&W's are to slow, yes to some extent, but the atmosphere and character buildup that is a result of it is astonishing & that is the case in this movie. I personally think this is one of Lugosi's best, he has the perfect look for the part and plays it with excellence! From what I understand he was pretty well into his morphine kick during the filming of this, so maybe that made him look even more menacing

I cant see why people think these old films are slow, this is the first zombie film and in my opinion one of the best ever. most zombie films move to far away from the historical nature of the Zombie and its Voodoo roots and this one is spot on
